Danielle Abdelahad

Danielle brings more than a decade of leadership experience to Third Rock Ventures, where she serves as Vice President, Head of People. Prior to joining Third Rock, she led People & Culture at Jnana Therapeutics, guiding the organization through significant growth and ultimately its acquisition.

Danielle has long been part of the extended Third Rock community. She previously served as an HR Business Partner and People Operations leader at bluebird bio, a TRV portfolio company and cultural benchmark within the biotech industry. There she supported both scientific and medical teams as they advanced programs from early development through commercialization. She later supported the launch and cultural foundations of Abata Therapeutics, another TRV company.

Before entering biotech, Danielle built her expertise through in-house and consulting roles across a range of industries, with a focus on high-growth, culture-centric organizations such as Wellington Management. She brings a highly humanistic yet business-aligned approach to her work, championing cultures where people can thrive and organizations can scale with intention.

Outside of work, Danielle and her husband are in the joyful chaos of raising three young children, and still manage to make time for plenty of fun.
