Rahul Mahajan, M.D., Ph.D.


Rahul Mahajan

Rahul is a Neuroscience Fellow, focusing on translational medicine and company creation. As part of his current fellowship, he continues laboratory research at MGH using computational methods to study human cortical activity. Prior to joining Third Rock, Rahul completed Neurology clinical training at the combined Partners’ Neurology Residency program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University and M.D./Ph.D. degrees from Medical College of Virginia/VCU School of Medicine. His Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics as an NHLBI fellow combined in-silico and in-vitro methods to study structure-function relationships in G-protein signaling and ion channel electrophysiology. Rahul plans to continue his clinical training in 2019 as a Neurocritical Care Fellow at the combined MGH/BWH program helping to implement and improve care of the sickest patients with Neurologic disease.
