Mark Lindsay, M.D., Ph.D.
At Third Rock, Mark focuses on translational biotechnology and company creation. As part of the TRV-MGH Department of Medicine associate fellowship, he splits time at Third Rock while continuing his research and clinical activities at the MGH. At MGH, he is an attending physician in the Thoracic Aortic Center and the Cardiovascular Genetics Program, performing genetic evaluations and caring for patients with genetically-triggered vascular disease. He is also a P.I. in the Cardiovascular Research Center managing a vascular disease laboratory focusing on genetic and epigenetic mechanisms affecting arterial stability. Prior to MGH, he completed residency training in pediatrics as well as fellowship training in pediatric and congenital cardiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He received his M.D./Ph.D. degrees from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where his thesis research was focused on the basic processes of nucleocytoplasmic transport.
