Kayarash Karimian, Ph.D.
“I am inspired by Third Rock’s collaborative culture that places scientific rigor and creativity at the heart of developing new medicines.”
Kayarash joined Third Rock as an Associate in 2022. He is grateful to be a part of an organization that unites leaders in science, medicine, and business under the shared vision of developing new therapeutics for patients. Prior to joining TRV, Kayarash received his PhD as an NSF Graduate Fellow from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed his graduate work in the laboratory of Carol Greider, where he studied the molecular mechanisms of telomerase and telomere length regulation in health and disease. At TRV, Kayarash is focused on building new companies and is inspired by Third Rock’s collaborative culture that places scientific rigor and creativity at the heart of developing new medicines.
Outside of work, Kayarash loves to travel, cheer on the Kentucky Wildcats, play volleyball, and teach friends swing dancing.
