Ethan Weiss

Ethan joined TRV as a part-time EIR in 2022. He went to medical school at Johns Hopkins, where he also completed his internship and residency. He did his cardiology training and postdoctoral research training at the University of California, San Francisco.

Prior to joining Third Rock, Ethan was a long-time member of Cardiology faculty and was a Principle Investigator in the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) at UCSF where his research interests focused on metabolism. He continues to have a small clinical practice in preventive cardiology.

Ethan lives in San Francisco with his wife and two daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing with his family, running, as well as watching his kids play sports. He is also somewhat obsessed with the Golden State Warriors.
