Beryl Cummings

At Third Rock, Beryl works on building new companies. She completed her PhD in human genetics at the Broad Institute, where she was part of the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD) team. She is motivated by continually learning the best ways to leverage human genetics in drug discovery and is passionate about bringing new therapies to rare disease families. She is proud to be part of a team that relentlessly puts patients first, and is amazed at the breadth and depth of expertise housed within Third Rock Ventures.

Beryl holds a lot of pride for her hometown of Izmir, Turkey. Outside the office, she enjoys playing volleyball and happy hour.
