Kevin Gillis joined Third Rock Ventures in 2008 and oversees the operational, financial and administrative aspects of the firm. He also directs and oversees the initial operational activities for our portfolio companies.

Kevin has approximately 20 years of financial experience, successfully designing, overseeing and managing the financial operations for both newly emerging and established biotech companies.

Prior to joining Third Rock Ventures, Kevin was Vice President of Finance at Coley Pharmaceutical Group, supporting the company’s successful initial public offering in 2005 and overseeing the finances related to the company’s acquisition by Pfizer in 2008. Prior to Coley, Kevin served in a number of senior finance roles at Millennium Pharmaceuticals and The Coca-Cola Company.

Kevin holds an MBA from Bentley University and a BA from Brandeis University.

Alison Connors joined Third Rock Ventures in 2008 and focuses on financial operations, reporting and analysis for the fund and assisting our new portfolio companies with their initial financial operations.

Alison has 10 years of financial accounting experience within the biotechnology and life science industries.

Prior to joining Third Rock Ventures, Alison held various senior financial roles at Prism VentureWorks and Bain Capital. She also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing management and consultant services to biotechnology companies.

Alison holds a BS from Boston College and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Linda Heath joined Third Rock Ventures in 2009. She provides administrative support to a number of our Partners, as well as administrative support for our portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Third Rock Ventures, Linda worked as an Executive Assistant for over 25 years, supporting senior leaders in the biopharmaceutical industry such as Millennium Pharmaceuticals, ImmuLogic Pharmaceuticals and Biogen.

Linda supports Mark Levin, Kevin Starr and Kevin Gillis.

Zoë Angell joined Third Rock Ventures in 2008. She provides administrative support to a number of our Partners, as well as administrative support for our portfolio companies. 

She also manages graphic design projects for both the firm and our portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Third Rock Ventures, Zoë held various administrative positions for over
10 years, most recently as Marketing Manager at Jay Peak Resort, where she was responsible for the administrative management of sales and marketing, budget forecasting, accounts payable and all media project management.

Zoë holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Zoë supports Bob Tepper, Nick Leschly, Cary Pfeffer and Phil Reilly.

Julie Nguyen joined Third Rock Ventures in 2009. She provides administrative support to our Partners, our Entrepreneur in Residence and operations staff, as well as administrative support for our portfolio companies.

Julie has worked as a Mortgage Operations Assistant, Sales Coordinator and Operations Manager for over 5 years, supporting senior executives within the banking and leasing industries.

Prior to joining Third Rock Ventures, Julie served as the Sales & Service Coordinator at
Salem Five Bank, responsible for reporting daily sales numbers, documentation on
department goals, productivity, accuracy, and performance. Julie also provided administrative support to the SVPs
of the Sales & Service, E-Commerce, and Marketing departments.

Julie supports Neil Exter, Craig Greaves, Alexis Borisy, Alison Connors and Mikhail Shaprio.
